Description: This is a transcript of an interview with Stanley Mabizela conducted by Julie Frederikse in March 1986 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for her book 'The Unbreakable Thread: non-racialism in South Africa', published by Ravan Press, 1990. Stanley Mabizela was jailed in 1963 for African National Congress (ANC) activities, worked underground from 1964-1966 and then fled to Swaziland where he taught at a Catholic mission school until being named ANC Chief Representative in 1978. Included in the SAHA online repository 'Tracing the unbreakable thread: non-racialism in South Africa today'
