SAHA's Freedom of Information Programme wins “Golden Key Award” for its work on Access to Information

On 28 September 2006, International Right to Know Day, The South African History Archive was presented with the "Golden Key Award" for the organisation which has been a frequent user or promoter of PAIA. The Golden Key Awards are an initiative of the Open Democracy Advice Centre and the South African Human Rights Commission to recognise individuals and organisations that have undertaken exemplary work in promoting openness, transparency and accountability in the public and private sectors through use of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).
