On Gender Based Violence: A visual narrative from the archive

According to The World Health Organisation (WHO), 12.1 in every 100000 women are victims of femicide in South Africa each year - a figure which is nearly five times worse than the global average of 2.6. This year, also marked a very dark period for South Africa as statistics revealed that there was a marked increase in sexual offences of those that were reported. We cannot afford to look away from this epidemic any longer, as the very fabric of society is under siege.
