Voices from Our Past

Inspired by a series of street memorials built across South Africa as part of the Sunday Times Heritage Project, Voices from our Past is a series of radio documentaries bringing together personal testimonies and historical audio clips from the archive that focus on key figures and moments in the struggle for democracy in South Africa.

Copies of the CD have been distributed to schools and other educational organizations in 2008 and 2009. A Guide for Educators (1.33MB) has also been developed to help educators to use these documentaries in the classroom to support history education in secondary schools.
