This is a white t-shirt and the text on the front reads: "Orange Farm Water Crisis Committee : Water is Life" and on the back: "Destroy Meter, Enjoy Free Water". The Orange Farm Water Crisis Committee (OFWCC) was one of the Anti-Privatisation Forum's (APF's) early community affiliates. When Joburg Water began its prepaid water meter pilot project in Orange Farm in 2001-2002, the OFWCC was formed in response and produced this t-shirt in 2003. The two slogans on the shirt; 'Water is life' and 'Destroy Meter, Enjoy Free Water' became the standard-bearers of the APF and the Coalition against Water Privatisation's (CAWP's) water struggles for the next several years.
